As a generalist, she draws from more than 30 years of experience providing assistance for issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, grief, relationship problems, family-of-origin issues, codependency, and self-esteem. She offers psychotherapy for couples where she focuses on communication styles. As a specialist, Dr. Berman addresses reproductive trauma, third-party reproduction, and support for infertility.

Does Dr. Berman offer telehealth or in-person sessions?
Dr. Berman is licensed to offer telemental health sessions to clients in 39 states. For information about specific states see https://psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap. Dr. Berman also sees clients in-person in her office in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

How do I arrange and access telemental health sessions?
Once your appointment is confirmed, you will receive an email or text with your telehealth link. Prior to your appointment time, you will need to click on the link to set up your session. We recommend that you take your telehealth session in a private space where you will not be interrupted. Dr. Berman will not be able to participate in sessions when you are driving a vehicle. Sessions are often more meaningful when you are using a larger screen like a computer or a tablet.

How much does therapy cost, and does insurance cover it?
Costs vary, and insurance coverage depends on your provider and plan. In accordance with the “No Surprises Act,” once services are requested, we send a Good Faith Estimate of the likely cost of treatment. We are committed to transparency in pricing. Dr. Berman does not accept insurance, and she does not participate on any insurance panels. We will provide you with a super-bill at the end of the session which you can file on your own with your insurance.

What type of payment does Dr. Berman accept?
Most clients pay through our patient portal by debit card, credit card, or HSA/FSA card. Other payment arrangements can be made through our office.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?
You can cancel your appointment through the patient portal, by email (admin@fertpsychatl.com) or by phone 404-634-2555. We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellation of 50-minute appointments and 48 hours notice for cancellation of 100 to 120-minute appointments. There is a charge for appointments that are not cancelled with proper notice.
